Craig-y-Don Community Centre has successfully been running a busy Community Centre since 2004. With a small team of paid staff the Centre, situated on Queens Road, has since its creation, been managed and staffed by local people, for local people and is a registered charity. It is a Community Centre in the true sense of the word. People of all ages, abilities and from all walks of life play an active role within the Centre. Their involvement promotes personal development, self-esteem and self-confidence.
Craig y Don Community Centre is proud of the fact that, whenever possible, it responds to the needs of the community and works in partnership with various outside agencies to meet these needs. The Centre’s “What’s On” page is evidence of this and clearly demonstrates the diversity of activities available
Access to learning, in a relaxed, non-threatening environment, is available to the local community with the provision of numerous Adult Education courses.
Craig-y-Don Community Centre is self-funding and a Charity 1053916. The Management Committee is responsible for the upkeep of the building and finding resources to pay members of staff e.g. The Centre Manager and 3 Caretakers (the only four full-time staff). Everybody else involved in the running of the Centre are volunteers.
Craig-y-Don Community Centre is a charitable organisation providing an array of activities for the local community and beyond.

Craig-y-Don Community Centre re-opened on 5th of July 2021 after the Local Lockdown Restrictions ended. We have reduced capacity in all rooms to allow for social distancing safely.
Craig-y-Don Community Centre is proud to announce that it is now a drop off/collection point for Hope Restored Food Bank. Your food and toileteries donations are truly appreciated and can be dropped off here anytime during our opening hours.
Craig-y-Don Community Centre is now the local area collection point for recycling your old crisp packets.
Why not save them at home and drop them off when passing!
(DUE TO COVID WE AREN'T CURRENTLY ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY RECYCLED CRISP PACKETS!)
